Beneficiary individuals and institutions

The course was aimed at:

  • Members of associations, social organisations, corporations and local administrations seeking to learn about ways to implement the Sustainable Development Goals in rural areas.

  • Political representatives and technical staff from local administrations who want to learn about the methodology and its potential applications.

  • Teachers, research teams, students and the academic community in general interested in participatory action research formats, teaching innovation processes and applied social research in rural and peri-urban contexts, integrating the 2030 Agenda.

Results

Given that, in 2023, the SDG Rural Lab was recognised as a Good Practice in Education for Development by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), it was proposed that the course promote the SDG Rural Labs Guide in the same format as in previous editions: 12 hours of live online theoretical and practical classes (4 days of 3 hours) and 8 hours of individual work by participants, involving the completion of an assignment applying the knowledge acquired.

The course was held on 3, 4, 10 and 11 December 2024. Enrolment was free of charge. Registration was open until 1 December 2024 at 23:59 (Spanish mainland time) via the link https://tinyurl.com/CursoODSRuralLab2024. There were 99 registrations, an average participation of 60 students in the 4 sessions, and 38 people completed the course by submitting their final project and obtaining the certificate.
